Concert Review
"Although the show was full of great audience interaction and solid performances by the duo, the encore solidified my love for and opinion of Sara. Although she was sick, she still came out to the stage alone, with no mic and only a guitar in hand." (read full review The Rialto Theatre show).

"The duo's biggest asset comes from simply getting better with age. Having recently turned 27, Tegan and Sara have moved from the early coffeehouse folk on albums such as This Business of Art and Under Feet Like Ours to sweet, melodic pop rock found on 2004's So Jealous and The Con. Two examples of this was Where Does the Good Go and the strong Monday Monday Monday." (read full review).

"There were also a few false starts and stops, too much bass at too many points and other glitches, including an abject, late set failure of the stage lights. That left Tegan, older of the Calgary sisters by eight minutes, in the dark, telling a sad tale about violent food poisoning she experienced after breaking up with her longtime girlfriend. It was almost painfully funny to hear her X-rated finale." (read full review).

"Early in their set Sara, who at first seems to be the sweeter and more chatty of the two, started to reminisce about the sisters attending their high school graduation ceremony at the Jube. It was a funny story, if scatter-brained in the telling, and of course, Tegan, the surly one called her on it. “I thought you were going to wait to talk about this,” she grumbled, finally adding, “I think you should’ve got your story straight.”
But later Tegan told an amusing story of her own, which put her sibling in another light, teasing Sara about schooling some obnoxious fan the previous night in Red Deer. “Sara got all Alberta on some guy and had him thrown out,” she said as her sister squirmed." (read full review).

"Native Calgarians Tegan and Sara performed the first of two sold out shows last night at the Winspear Centre, the second of which will be held tonight at U of A's Myer Horowitz Theatre.
The edgy rocker fan base was out in full force, jumping, screaming and dancing in the somewhat subdued surroundings of the revered concert chamber." (review)

"In between songs, the sisters tell comical little stories about their lives and their interaction with fans. One, in response to a guy in the crowd, being, “I don’t ‘love’ you, maybe, like, the way you love me. Like if you got hurt or something, after the show, I wouldn’t stop everything I was doing to see if you were okay… I’d feel sorry for you.”
But they also touched on other aspects of life, like having an overwhelming number of friends in one moment and feeling like you don’t have enough in the next. Or, Sara’s 8th grade ambitions of going to college on a basketball scholarship. Or, Tegan’s 12-year-old song written when the twins were having problems in their “twin marriage” and had to see a therapist named April." (read full review).

"Having performed together since their teens, the two have impeccable timing, and they're a joy to watch. Mocking the way she doesn't say anything all day, then blurts out everything once she's on-stage–"That isn't normal," she noted–Sara proved herself once again to be the more talkative one. For many of her sister's tangents, Tegan assumed the role of straight man, making skeptical or impatient faces while waiting for her sibling to wind down or, occasionally, make her point."
